I am super keen to see this movie. Here's some information on it! Enjoy!
Based on the remarkable true story this inspirational underdog drama based on the novel Secretariat: The Making of a Champion by William Nack, chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown-winning racehorse of the same name.
It is also the story of housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) who unwittingly sets off a chain of events when she agrees to take over her ailing father's Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge.
Against all odds, Chenery with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)manages to navigate the male-dominated business. And when the pair discovers that one of the horses in their stable may have what it takes to go all the way, the whole world watches in amazement as a true legend is born.
This is another one that i have on my cards to see ....
In this thriller from Oscar-winning director Florian Henkel von Donnersmarck (The Lives of Others) which is produced by Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum (executive producers, Invictus), American tourist Frank Tupelo (Johnny Depp) meets a mysterious beauty who drags him into a dangerous world of intrigue and espionage while he's travelling through Europe
Having fled to the old world to mend a broken heart Frank thinks his meeting with the mysterious and beautiful Elise (Angelina Jolie) is down to chance, however he soon realizes he has been marked by someone with a far bigger, and more dangerous plan in mind.
And before he knows it, Frank is dodging bullets against the breathtaking historic backdrop of Paris and the winding canals of Venice, as he and Elise find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse as the romance between them quickly grows more intense.
