Sweet Valentines Day

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! I hope you received something, even if it was little, it still makes the day feel a little bit more special! We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day in the sense of buying each other gifts, cards, etc.... but i did pop a little note in Chow's lunch bag for today! SO when he has lunch he'll see it :-) sweet i think?! We having a picnic in the garden and enjoying our home - as this will be our last Valentine's Day there before we move! Another post will appear soon with beautiful pic's of our evening! Keep your eyes peeled!

Happy Friday! Hope this weekend is full of inspiration, love and happiness as afterall it is Valentine's Day on Monday! Feel the love :-)

And ..... it's finished! HOORAY!

Last night,(which was a busy one) i completed my first dress i have ever made. I think i am happy with it - a few things i have learnt and would definatley like to make changes if i make another one with the same pattern! Try a different fabric, make it a little more fitting and have some tapered elastic around the waist i think... but i suppose you have to start somewhere? What do you think?

A 'touch' of Valentine's spirit ....

Last night i made some heart shaped strawberry centred jam biscuits! They were not as easy as i thought they'd be to make, but nevertheless i made them and they came out ok... on a scale of 1-10; i'd say 6? I think practice will make perfect, but i'm not running back to making them so quickly! Next on the list are those little Raspberry Melting Cupcakes! They look like a winner!

Some interesting facts on sweet potatoes... and i don't know about you ... but i love these little buggers!

- Full of fibre
- High in Vit A
- An antioxidant that keeps skin feeling fresh, smooth and clear

Carrots and tomatoes also have a similar effect!

I shall be eating some more of these buggers soon!

I stumbled upon this recipe in the Adore Home Online Magazine! It is such a tasteful magazine and i love browsing through it. Specially with the purchase of our new house, it's fantastic to browse through and start getting some ideas! I can't wait to move in, work in the garden (make it look so special and beautiful) and consider all the alterations to be done! I have a beautifully planned kitchen in mind and an amazing bathroom! Burlesque

I went to see Burlesque last night and so enjoyed it! I thought it was marvellous and simply enjoyed all the dancing! Was wonderful! I left the movie in the mood for some dancing, but sadly went to bed instead :-) I highly recommend it - even if you don't like the cast - the movie is still awesome!
